- Acting as an arbitrator. I have served as an arbitrator in over 50 cases under the rules of the major US and international institutions with a track record that can verified from publicly available awards published on platforms like Jus Mundi. Parties may reliably consider me for appointment as arbitrator in both domestic and international commercial or investment arbitrations. I have particular experience in disputes over power and other types of infrastructure projects, among members or shareholders of companies and between parties to equipment sales or distribution agreements.
- Advising parties to arbitrations. I have been on teams over the years representing parties to commercial arbitration proceedings. My experience now as an arbitrator has made me very familiar with the process and how arbitrators think and approach procedural and substantive issues. This experience can benefit parties to make the process more efficient and help them assess their chances of success.
- Drafting dispute resolution provisions in agreements - specifically agreements to arbitrate or other forms of dispute resolution mechanisms. My experience as a commercial arbitrator allows me to perceive and correct flaws in contract formation that can lead to unnecessary delay and cost if a dispute arises.
- Mediation. I have served as a mediator in a number of commercial disputes and helped parties arrive at settlements, at times in cases where large sums were at stake.
